Misskiwi’s ClassicINSTA for iPhone is currently available for free in the App Store, for a very limited time. The app had previously undergone a price cut, from the original price tag of $1.99 to the recent $0.99.
ClassicINSTA is part of misskiwi’s Classic series of photography apps — that includes, among the others, ClassicTOY and ClassicSAMP. ClassicINSTA is capable of taking instant-like photos, spiffing them up with 12 different effects, ranging from overly saturated tones to monochrome, and applying to them adjustable borders and custom text. Although I mentioned more than once that personally I don’t find all effects to be memorable, still some of them convey the lo-fi feel of instant cameras quite nicely and thus this app is definitely worth a try.
