Camera+ 4.2 comes with a pack of new photographic effects. The app now counts a total of 54 different photo effects; most of them are free with the initial download of Camera+, the only exceptions being the I ♥ Analog and the Hollywood packs, each available through in-app purchase for $.99.
The filters in the Standard pack are accurate reproduction of those introduced by Apple within the revamped iOS 7 Camera and Photo apps. Through Camera+, users will be able to apply to their pictures all the effects achievable in Camera, without updating to iOS 7 and without switching to the default apps. The Standard pack comes with 3 monochrome filters and 6 color ones, for a total of 9 new editing choices in all.
The Standard Effects pack is available automatically with release 4.2 of Camera+. They 9 effects are offered as a free add-on for all users with devices running iOS 6.0 (or later versions).
Correction – Standard pack needs iOS7. Checked with the developer when it didn’t work on my 6.1.2, and confirmed.
